The wheel turns
Dear Editor,
Over the last two years, some businesses have had it tough through lockdowns, while others have gone on their merry way, ripping people off.
None better to name than some service stations.
When fuel was going up, they put it up straight away, instead of waiting until they had first sold the fuel they had purchased at a cheaper price.
Then, when the fuel prices were supposed to go down, they had to “wait until the current stock was sold first”.
Why doesn’t it work both ways? Everybody in business can change what they like, but don’t be greedy.
Remember it’s not far to Griffith or other towns where you get bargains. I know, years ago, I questioned our council for buying cars out of town.
The answer was that they were cheaper, and good on them because it is rate payers’ money.
So please service stations and others around town that want to rip people off – the wheel turns and you may regret it.
Happy motoring everyone; I said it for you.
Thank you, Paul “Frog” Edwards. 414 Brunker Street Hay.
