Call to honour war veterans

Madam,

I would like to express my opinion on the murals on the water tanks on Pine Street.

They are there to highlight Hay’s commitment to the sacrifices of the town to wars.

Yet we have a fence that belongs around a factory or concentration camp.

The councillors fall well short of honouring our veterans of all wars.

It is time they showed total respect for our fallen and make it more of a monument, not just a billboard.
