Stealth and Deception
Dear madam,
The ‘voice’ has morphed into a concealed deity whose looming, sinister shadow of authority and unrevealed deceitful purpose is based on the whims and demands of its one-eyed disciples of the moment.
Its naivety has already firmly driven an irreconcilable wedge between decent Australian people, with Aboriginal identified people misled to believe that their future will be more rewarded as a separate racial entity under this unrestrained authority of absolute power over all of us.
Instead, sadly, the government referendum proposal is beginning to radiate hate and loathing without sensibly acknowledging the rightful existence and contribution of more recent arrivals to our way of life in this country.
Mindfully, we have already established, without controversy, the necessary political structure with its myriad of institutions and billions of taxpayers’ dollars in place to assist those disadvantaged indigenous Australians who justifiably need support and better direction.
Don’t be fooled by the preachers who proclaim that the referendum proposal is purely to form an inoffensive Indigenous Advisory Body, made up of yet undisclosed persons, chosen by unspecified criteria. In conflict with this are the involuntary whispers that are daily becoming louder and louder.
The words ‘treaty’, ‘truth telling (ie., propaganda)’ and the more concerning utterance of ‘reparation’ are being carelessly voiced revealing the devious objectives silently waiting in abeyance should the ‘voice’ become reality.
Alarmingly, these three key objectives, linked to the 2017 Uluru Statement of the Heart, have been dishonestly kept secret by government lackeys because of the utter distastefulness of these intentions to many thinking Australians. Beyond belief, the words Voice, Treaty and Truth appeared on Albanese’s black T-shirt when he attended Midnight Oil’s farewell gig at Sydney’s Anthony Horden Pavilion last October.
Yet he now denies the Voice will lead to a treaty, a substantial financial compensation payout from taxpayers, private land being handed over and the formal recognition of perceived historic wrongs.
The Australian flag that once flew solitary and proudly over this country has always stood as national emblem through peace and war, enshrining the values of truth, compassion, equality, freedom, courage and responsibility; ideals that overtime have become the embodiment of all Australians.
The inevitable voice for separation focus by the leftwing media and detestable national broadcaster, combined with the totally irresponsible and spineless support from prominent and unrepresentative sporting and major commercial bodies, only strengthens unpleasant and irreversible feelings from both sides.
Unachieved and divisive reconciliation will become a wound that will ultimately fester in this country for too many years to come, no matter how many times the uninformed Harbour Bridge walkers and government say ‘they’re sorry’.
Those that gain most from this devious constitutional change will probably be those with scant aboriginal heritage and who seemingly exhibit abhorrence for their larger white legacy which has given them, unappreciated, such a bountiful life in this once great country of ours.
All decisions by government must be based on truth, reality, practicability and the hardest of all – wisdom.
This is not reflected in this referendum, instead it is a profound and radical proposal under the weak guise of ‘Nation Building’, made entirely on an emotional ‘feel good’ philosophy and the egocentric chance for a mediocre leader to go down in history as a noble (notable) ‘achiever’. It is a growing attitude that is so out of touch with reality.
Those considering a ‘No’ vote are immediately and childishly branded as racists instead of being accepted as thinking members of this community who are more mature and aware of some escalating dangers ahead.
Remember, the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights which we faithfully adhere to says that ‘Everyone has (or should have) the right to freedom of opinion and expression.
Finally, all of us must proudly and gratefully work together as human beings in this prosperous Australian nation, without a whimper of guilt, being mindful of the past but evolving into the present with a keen and optimistic eye on the future.
