The so-called ‘Pillar of Democracy’!!

Dear Madam,

The ABC and BBC during my boyhood years of the forties and fifties were highly respected public service broadcasters, held in high esteem by my grandparents who I grew up with during the war years and beyond in Neutral Bay, Sydney.

They listened to both intently on a stately His Master’s Voice radio wireless and its far-reaching shortwave band.

As a child, I would be eagerly summoned earlier in the evenings by the theme song ‘The wireless says to hurry and run……It’s time for the Session, it’s time for the fun!’

This was the very popular ABC’s Argonauts Children’s Session which ran for six days a week for 28 years.

But that was yesterday in a different Australia.

Over recent generations since, the rot has slowly become well established and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation now arrogantly abuses its democratic bi-partisan charter, without guidance or restraint - beyond forgiveness.

The recent smug interview set up by ABC journalist Ferguson with Labor millionaire MP Charlton was another pathetic charade in their resolve to gleefully throw dirt at Dutton’s ‘shameful’ private investments sixteen years ago, supposedly why the rest of Australia was impoverished!

This was the absolute last straw for any respect whatsoever for this so called ‘Trusted and Independent News Source’ – ‘our’ anti-conservative national broadcaster.

Its leaderless assembly of Left-wing, woke disciples who now govern ‘their’ ABC, unashamedly mouth and patter false truths and biased misrepresentation of fact in their over-confident and determined pursuance of their ingrained politically inspired doctrine, devoid of justified and balanced debate or second opinion.

One can understand why they often sought tainted second-hand news items from America’s smirking and traitorous media outlet CNN or the commercial American Broadcasting Company who were always in total support of their ailing country’s disastrous Left-wing Democratic Party policies under Biden.

When proved blatantly wrong there is no apology to viewers and often costly perversions by their journalists are swept under the carpet and the cost for imprudence and litigation borne totally by unwilling and mostly unaware Australian taxpayers.

Sadly, the inaudible conservatives of this once great country, it seems, can only walk away from the abhorrent odour of the expanding ABC cesspit while it comfortably remains unrestrained and alarmingly, extravagantly fed by over a billion precious taxpayers’ dollars!!

With this country now in dire straits, time is long overdue for an incoming conservative government to make a fearless stand and clean out the detritus and woke agenda, and enforce the national broadcaster’s charter which purposefully and weightily includes it’s now forgotten impartiality responsibilities.

Otherwise privatise the corporation so that the forgotten more cautious moderates, who legitimately make up a large portion of our overall community, are no longer forced unwillingly to contribute to the ABC’s overflowing coffers from the limited taxation funds of our now crumbling Australian society – better spent elsewhere on health or defence.

Speak up! We can’t hear you at the back.
