An eye for sheep paves way to Sydney Royal for Monte
Monte Barnes is off to Sydney Royal Easter Show following success at the Group 9 Young Judges competition held last week in Cootamundra.
Monte claimed first in meat sheep, merino sheep and merino fleece, the only three events he entered on the day.
Group 9 covers the shows societies from the South West of the state with 14 groups across the state.
Finalists from all groups will take part in the State Finals at the Sydney Royal Easter with judging of beef and dairy cattle, merino and meat breed sheep, merino fleece, grains, fruit and vegetables as well as beef paraders.
