Little athletics shine at two carnivals in one weekend

Hay Little Athletics had a successful weekend, with team members proudly representing the club at two major carnivals.

Athletes travelled to Leeton on Saturday and then to Deniliquin on Sunday to compete and showcase their skills.

On Saturday, siblings Lexi and Riley Garner made their athletic debut at the Leeton carnival, joining forces with fellow Hay Little Athletics teammates Ben and Ella Taylor.

The athletes demonstrated their determination, competing strongly across various events.

Not slowing down, Lexi and Riley Garner returned on Sunday to compete again in Deniliquin, this time alongside new teammates from Balranald, Stella and Preston Stevens, along with James Moore.

An exciting highlight of the weekend was the relay events, where the athletes banded together to form impressive teams.

The girls' relay team, consisting of Bella Garner, Lexi Garner, Felicia Azmir, and Stella Stevens, delivered an incredible performance.

The boys’ relay team of Dayon Taylor, Riley Garner, Beau Garner, and James Moore, also displayed outstanding skill and coordination.

Well done athletes for an inspiring weekend.
