Pandemic medals awarded

Hay Ambulance Officers Irene Murphy, Haruka Shojima-Perera, Lisa Mackay, Daniel O’Brien, and Glen Everett were awarded the Pandemic Service Medal.

The medal was given to over 7,000 NSW Ambulance personnel, and is to recognise the significant and sustained response of all NSW Ambulance Personnel to the extreme and unique pressures experienced during the pandemic.

“Staff have demonstrated a tremendous amount of effort, resilience and care in protecting one another, patients and the wider community throughout this pandemic,” NSW Ambulance Chief Executive, Dr Dominic Morgan said.

Congratulations, to all awarded the medal. Ambulance officers are more often than not, the first faces we see in the worst moments of our lives, our saviours. We would all be lost without them.
