April shoot a booming success

A total of $3000 of cash and prizes were up for grabs at the April shoot in Hay, with a huge 36 competitors taking their shot on Easter Saturday.

Competitors came from Wagga, Griffith, Barellan, Echuca, Coleambally, Wangaratta as well as a strong local field to shoot in conditions that were almost perfect.

The first event of the day was a 30-target double barrel and it was kindly sponsored by Van and Kerry Haidy from the Hay Pizza Bar.

Overall winner was Hay’s own Clayton Anderson with a score of 162/162, first in AA grade was Brad Kidd from Wagga on 161/162, second was Brian Doyle on 131/132.

First in A grade was Hay member Trevor Harbor on 33/34, and second was Adam Gurnhill from Wagga on 40/42.

First in B grade was the sponsor of the event Van Haidy on 30/31, second was Sally Evans from Coleambally on 29/30.

First in C grade was Ray Hillam from Griffith on 29/30 and second was David Polsen from Barellan on 40/45.

The second event was a 30-target single barrel; the overall winner was Chloe Evans from Coleambally on 33/33.

First in AA grade was John Headon on 32/33, second was Brian Doyle on 57/58.

First in A grade was Peter Sing from Echuca on 29/30, second was Trevor Harbor on 28/32.

First in B grade was Sally Evans on 29/30, second John Polsen from Barellan on 28/30.

First in C grade was Ray Hillam on 24/30, second was John Headon Snr on 23/30.

Third event of the day was a 30-target point score, kindly sponsored by Hay member Trevor Harbor.

Overall winner was Brad Kidd on 96/96.

First AA was Clayton Anderson on 93/96, second was Rob Anderson on 92/93.

First A grade was Peter Sing on 92/95, second was Trevor Harbor on 91/95.

Winner in B grade was John Polsen on 89/90, with second being Jason Wall on 83/90.

Ray Hillam took C Grade out on 83/90 and second was Eric McCullough on 81/90.
