Darts, fun and laughter for a good cause

By Kimberly Grabham

Much fun and laughs were had when Hay Social Darts Team hosted Griffith to vie for the trophy, played twice a year.

They do compete for a trophy, but the more important thing to all is the long-term friendships fostered, and the funds they raise for vital causes.

Hay Services Club, IGA and Mackers Meats made generous donations to the event.

Beverley McRae cooked a wonderful meal for the attendees.

Griffith were the victors on the night, with Hay having another opportunity to bring home the trophy in July, when they travel to Griffith.

The event raises funds for two important causes.

This round, $510 was raised for Angel Flight. When they head back in July, money will be raised for Cystic Fibrosis.
