Hay joins the Swifitie craze as locals flock to Taylor Swift’s Australian concerts

Pop star Taylor Swift has become the biggest musician in the world right now and Hay fans were not disappointed when they made the trek to her Australian concerts.
Self-proclaimed ‘Swiftie Mummas’ Sarah Bunyan and Kylie Kerr made a weekend of it when they eagerly chaperoned daughters Rhyla and Elsbeth and friend Grace Auldist to a sellout show in Melbourne.
“I was only able to get four tickets last June, so poor Kylie had to listen from outside,” Sarah bemoaned.
The trio was still excited about their experience when they visited The Grazier office, resplendent in their concert outfits.
“We love her,” Rhyla enthused. “She told us everyone could be a star. She asked the crowd ‘What’s your name?’ and when everyone just yelled out their names, she said ‘Oh that’s a nice name’ and cracked right up.”
“When she looked one way into the crowd everyone on that side just screamed,” Elsbeth added.
Grace did not hold back. “It was one of the best experiences of my whole life,” she said.
Kara Mohr and daughter Savannah also made the trip to Syndey to see the American-based pop icon.
“Mum has been a fan since Taylor was a country artist,” Savannah said.
“I think that’s why I became a fan because I connected with her music and what she’s been through herself.
“She is also a huge influence on young girls and women as she promotes body positivity and she highlights the struggles of being a young adult and fighting for your place within male dominated industries such as the music industry.”
