Praise for Hay Shire Council
Dear Editor,
Through your paper may I say a big congratulations to our Council for improving our town. Firstly, the roundabout after all the complaints with bushes and trees and not being able to see oncoming traffic. The (previous) Council did not get a pat on the back when the roundabout was tidied and replanted.
There are the parks, the pool, showground - everywhere you look, out town is getting improvements.
Even the lawn cemetery will eventually get back to just being a lawn cemetery without the plastic flowers, toys and little fences. It was turning into a tip. People may say I have no feelings about the cemetery. I have a father, two brothers and also a son who has been there for 20-odd years. I visit once or twice a month. Some days I go home OK, other days I leave there in tears; just like other parents.
So please, let Council make the lawn cemetery a lawn cemetery and not a tip.
Well done Council.
Thank you, Frog Paul Edwards
