500 on board for Box Rally from Hay

Five hundred people, 250 cars worth less than $1000 each and Hay as the unusual starting point.

Box Rally 2022 set off on its 3200kms charity journey on Saturday morning to raise money for cancer research; the first since COVID cancelled all rallies in 2019.

It is the first time any of the Box Rallies departed from a venue outside a metropolitan city; and Hay was chosen.

A wholesome cooked breakfast by Can Assist Hay provided nourishment for the 500 participants as they set off on their journey, with a lot of unsealed roads ahead of them.

Box Rallies (Shitbox and Mystery Box) fund the highest ranked research programs as listed and vetted by Australia’s cancer research scientific community from the National Health and Medical Research Council.
