Jimmy our friendly postman cooking up a reunion

Local man always “on the go”, Jim Ovens is at it again.

President of Hay Bowling Club, mailman, Design Yr Sign owner, and more has been cooking up – sausages only – in the lead up to an event he is hosting in June.

Jim has a Coaster, which he is working on. The airbag suspension is currently not working, but that is all part of the process in restoration.

The Coasters group is a wealth of information, where members can confer with each other for advice, opinions and much more.

“Toyota Coaster Bus owners group meeting in Hay in June, is a prime opportunity for the owners to get together, showcase their vehicles, many of which have designed and built their own interiors.

“I am hoping to make it a yearly thing – they don’t need accommodation – they have their own!” laughed Jim.

“Camping is free, sausage sizzle on Saturday night is free, Event is free, company is free, stickers on Saturday night will be free, a couple of t-shirts will be free at my discretion, information is free. All you must do is get there and stay Saturday night or stay as long as you want for free.

“June Long weekend, show us your coaster, swap items get information, walk through, doesn't matter if she is an oldie or a newbie, bring her in.

“Don't forget your coaster manuals and if they are digital then even better, bring items to sell, swap or just to give away, free sausage on Saturday night just supply your own bread and sauce.”.

The event will take place June 11 from 8am to June 13, 11 am, Sandy Point Reserve, Hay.
