Lee Kernaghan set to lift up Hay

Country music super star Lee Kernaghan has been announced as the surprise headline act for the upcoming Lift Up Hay concert.

CA4SE Hay is hosting the event and president Bob Dougall has worked tirelessless to organise the free concert.

“This is going to be a night of incredible entertainment, with an extremely important message,” he said.

Kernaghan has won four ARIA Awards and three APRA Awards, and has sold over two million albums, and has won 38 Golden Guitars at the Country Music Awards, second to the legendary Slim Dusty.

His hits include Boys From The Bush, She’s My Ute, The Outback Club and Spirit of the Anzacs.

He was the 2008 Australian of the Year, in recognition of his support for rural and regional Australia, and the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2015 ARIA Awards, for Spirit of the Anzacs.

As well as world class music the event will feature representatives from regional support services such as Wellways, Linking Communities Network, Headspace and Hay Aboriginal Medical Service, on hand to answer questions and provide information.

Tickets to the concert are free, and avilable from The Riverine Grazier and any local business displaying the concert poster.

The concert will be held this Saturday July 29 from 7.30pm at the Spirit of Anzac Centre.
