Haydays Retirement Hostel Board Chair, Wayne Mitchell was presented with a cheque for $43,000 from Hay Community Bank Branch Manager Sandra Dolan and Customer Relationship Officer Maddison Aylett for the purchase of a new Nissan X trail SUV from local dealership Arandt Nissan Hay.

Mr Mitchell said Haydays was a not-for-profit aged care facility and would benefit greatly from this much-needed updated vehicle.

“It will provide more comfortable transportation for our residents and with the administration of the facility long into the future,” Mr Mitchell said.

The sponsorship request to the Hay/Hillston Board members (Western Riverina Financial Services) by Ms Dolan on behalf of Haydays was for the full costs of the vehicle. Once funding was approved, Haydays completed the submission for the costs through the Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Foundation.

“Our local community made the funding possible. This would not have been possible without locals supporting the Hay branch,” Ms Dolan said

“The more customers who bank at Bendigo, the more funding we will be able to put back into your community.”
