Riverina Field Days set to get bigger

The 2022 Riverina Field Days will be on again at Griffith Showgrounds on May 13 and 14 with a new sponsor for the next three years, Lowes Petroleum.

Event organiser Jason Torresan said there has been high enthusiasm from exhibitors this year, indicating events like this are being embraced in this new Covid-landscape.

“A staggering 12,000 people walked through the gate last year, providing a much-needed economic injection coming out of a rough two years,” Mr Torresan said.

“The upside of the pandemic is communities truly appreciate times when they can come together and exchange information on everything from best farm practices to fertilisers and fuel tank safety.

“The Riverina Field Days’ strength has always relied on the diversity and variety of exhibitors from the agricultural industry.

“You’ll find everything from a spanner to a header, giftware to trucks, craft to confectionary. There are children’s activities, family entertainment, food and demonstrations: it’s an event the whole family can enjoy.

“The popular Snake Pit is back along with whip cracking shows, animal nursery and rock climbing.

“There will be cooking demonstrations by Whitton Malt House, fashion parade, yard dog trials, lawn mower races and so much more. It really is a field day for everyone!”
