Tourists are returning

Hay Visitor Information Centre staff are again welcoming an increase in visitors each day, particularly travellers from Sydney and Melbourne looking to spend time and money in regional places.

Visitors are particularly enjoying the free bike use at the VIC, allowing them to explore the town as well as the sculptures along the river. Hay is currently being promoted well beyond the Shire boundaries, with the Tourism and Economic Development team interviewed on 702 ABC Sydney, encouraging visitation to Hay. A four-page article will appear in the NSW Farmers Magazine December/January edition and will feature updated image content from the recent content shoot.

Riverina Regional Tourism last month hosted its meeting in Hay, reviewing current opportunities and challenges for tourism in the south-western Riverina.
