Local young cricketers represented Murrumbidgee in the Riverina’s Colston/Scammell Shield recently, which was a three-day round robin.

“Congratulations to Hay that hosted this carnival, what a great effort by the Hay community,” a Murrumbidgee Cricket Council representative said.

“Murrumbidgee Cricket council would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this carnival over the past three days.”

This carnival was an important one on the cricket calendar in the lead up to selection of the Riverina team for the Country Cricket NSW Bradman Cup.

Congratulations to David Caldow for being selected in the Bradman Cup.

Riverina will play against other CNSW representative zones, with the first rounds taking place in December in Wagga.

Avid and talented photographer Wayne Bradley, formerly from Hay and now of Deniliquin, was on hand to take some outstanding action shots of the carnival for The Riverine Grazier. Above is Archie Houston, doggedly eyeing the ball. Also pictured is the Hay representatives David Caldow, Hilton Hargreaves, Archie Houston, Alice Caldow and Josh Gardiner.
