Bede Schiller honoured for his tireless efforts

Hardworking volunteer for Hay Tennis Club, Bede Schiller was honoured for his commitment last week when Court 5 was named after him.

Club president, Warren Hunt said the court was named after Bede for his outstanding work during the refurbishment of Court 5 as well as the work he has done over many years, especially the groundwork for the initial laying of the synthetic on courts 1 and 2. In addition, Bede has overseen many other projects in the past.

The club also thanked committed member, Lani Houston. She successfully applied for a considerable grant for the upgrade of lights and towers.
