Having recently completed Year 12 at Hay War Memorial High School, where he was Vice Captain, Jensen will be continuing his AFL career with Yarrawonga Football Netball Club in 2025.

Jensen had a huge 2024 playing games for the Giants Academy, Murray Bushrangers and was an integral part of Hay Lions AFL senior side.

Described as a versatile player that can play inside and out, with a tremendous work ethic and plenty of pace.

He will be starting work with Sacred Heart Catholic school in Yarrawonga as a teachers aide in PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education).

He will commence his position at the high school in Yarrawonga at the start of 2025.

In his overall AFL career, Jensen has played 205 games, scored a total of 208 goals and was voted best player 66 times.

Jensen is also a talented tennis and cricket player, reflecting his love of sports.

“Play as much sport, different sports as you can when you are young, it helps develop different skills,” Jensen told The Riverine Grazier in 2022, when asked if he had any advice to give future sports people.

“Once it is clear which is the sport for you, then focus on that.

“I don’t eat a special diet, but I have found going to the gym and building strength and muscle has helped me a lot over the past year or more,” Jensen says.

Jensen is pictured right, accepting an award at the Golden Rivers Football and Netball League presentation awards.

Jensen was one of the many Hay Lions Football and Netball League’s players to bring home a slew of awards in multiple years. Congratulations, Jensen; you are contributing to the vast collection of sporting role models we are lucky to have for the children in our town.
