NSW v QLD as young stars shine for their states
Rising sport stars Archie Houston and Corinne Stallan have shone for their state, representing NSW and QLD respectively.
Houston is a Hay-grown AFL talent, while Stallan captained the under 25s lawn bowls team to victory.
Hay Lions undefeated, winning streak continues
The local AFL competition top of the table clash did not disappoint when Hay met Ultima on Saturday.
Hay, with no imports available, relied on a local contingency to take it up to Ultima. Ultima had a few out with injury, and took the opportunity to blood some younger players to face the senior Lions for the first time.

Balranald Roos star Jydon Neagle has been named in the Weekly Times Country AFL Team of the Year. The talented Neagle was also named assistant coach, alongside country football legend and ex-Geelong player Garry Hocking.
Neagle was named at number 10 in the Weekly Times top 50 players of the year.

Under 14.5 Lions joined football clubs from around the country in remembering and honouring a fellow footballer, and putting their boots out for Dallas. Castlemaine Football Netball Club footballer Dallas Keogh-Frankling from the Bendigo Football league landed awkwardly in a tackle against Kyneton but played out the game and even ran off the field after the final siren.
Hay’s under 14s enjoyed a massive win, played with a true display of sportsmanship.
