The 2024 Mick Huntly Memorial Masters was held at Hay Park’s number one oval on Saturday. In near picture perfect weather four teams battled it out for supremacy. Two teams were local - Hay Magpies and the Boyong Hunters Club - While Albury Blues Old Boys and the Vic Hotel Misfits travelled to Hay for the weekend.

Hay’s Tackle Box women’s team played out a demonstration match during the break, and at the end of all matches Hay Magpies Jasen Crighton was crown most entertaining player.

Life membership was bestowed upon Danny Byrnes and presented by Simon Parr. His accoutrements included jacket, tie, beret and an original Hannah Stewart portrait.

Each team was tasked with painting a portrait for their team captains. Above: Artists Amirah Ismail and Hannah Stewart with Tackle Box's captain Lily Huntly. Below: Team captains and their portraits.
