Snipers premiers three years running

By Kimberly Grabham

The South Hay Snipers have done it again! For the third year in a row they walk away champions in the Hay Darts Association competition. Thirteen year old Usher Stringer is the youngest player in the history of darts to win a grand final.

Lots of laughter and happiness could be seen as another fantastic season of darts was celebrated with a presentation evening at Hay War Memorial Hall.

At the start of 2024, an AGM was held and three people attended.

Thinking darts might have to fold in Hay, the word was spread, and once people knew there was a danger of darts concluding, 26 attended the next meeting.

Due largely to the generosity of players, Hay Darts Association was able to once again increase their range and amount of donations to local organisations in Hay.

The best thing about darts in Hay is that good spirit; the camaraderie, friendship and fun, and the desire to help out local groups in our community.

Darts players came together on Saturday night for a lovely dinner prepared by Garnished Fine Food and Catering.
