Job satisfaction kept Jane on Council staff for 45 years
Job satisfaction and commitment to her career have kept Jane Griffiths (Symons) in the same job for forty-five years and one month.
In that time Jane has been part of major changes in the operations of Hay Shire Council; an organisation she says continues to get bigger and busier; with a much smaller outdoor staff base.
It has been her only job since leaving school, apart from helping out during elections.
“I attended Deniliquin TAFE in 1976 where I completed a year-long secretarial course, and started at Council on January 24, 1977,” Jane remembers.
