Following an application for a recount of the ballot, the eight successful candidates in the Hay Shire Council election have been declared.

The new council for Hay Shire has been elected.
They are, in order of the ballot paper, Martyn Quinn, Jenny Dwyer, Peter Handford, Paul Porter, Carol Oataway, Peter Dwyer, Lionel Garner and Geoff Chapman.
