Wall is high gun winner

A small field of shooters took to the traps for the Hay Gun Club March shoot. Visitors came from Coleambally, Deniliquin, Ivanhoe and Bega.

The fewer numbers did not quash the excitement of the day, with some superlative results achieved.

First event of the day was a 30 target pointscore.

First in AA grade was Simon Gee with a score of 89/90.

Second in AA grade was Shane Gallagher from Ivanhoe on 87/90.

First in A grade was Van Haidy on 87/90.

Second in A grade was John Maxwell from Deni on 81/90.

First in B grade was Jason Wall on 88/90.

Second in B grade was Eric McCullough on 84/90.

First in C grade was John Headon Snr on 78/90.

Second in C grade was Bega visitor Greg Lye with a score of 73/90.

Second event of the day was a 30-target single barrel.

First in AA grade was Shane Gallagher with the only possible of 30/30.

Second in AA grade was Simon Gee on 42/43.

First in A grade was Van Haidy on 29/32. Second in A grade was John Maxwell on 28/32.

First in B grade was Peter Ledwidge from Coly on 29/30.

Second in B grade was Jason Wall on 26/30.

First in C grade was John Headon Snr on 25/30 and second in C grade was Greg Lye on 17/30.

Third event of the day was a 30-target handicap, first was Jason Wall with the only possible of 30/30.

Second was Ian Headon on 46/48 and third was Wayne Dunbar on 45/48.

Fourth event of the day was a 10-target graded handicap.

This was won by Brian Doyle with the only possible of 10/10.

March High Gun was taken out by Jason Wall.

A shoot off with opponent Shane Gallagher decided the winner, with a final score of 154/160.

It was Jason’s very first High Gun and was a well-deserved win.

Congratulations to all shooters, the next shoot is April Shoot/Easter shoot.
