Wall wins Mitchell Cup

Excellent turnout of 25 shooters took to the traps for the Hay Gun Club August shoot.

Visitors travelled from far and wide to compete for the 100 targets on offer, they came from Ivanhoe, Leeton, Darnick, Griffith and Coleambally.

First event of the day was a 30-target single barrel; overall winner was John Headon with a score of 47/49.

1st in AA grade was Shane Gallagher from Ivanhoe on 46/49, and 2nd in AA grade was Adrian Depaoli from Leeton on 30/33.

A grade was won by Dino Piccoli from Leeton on 26/30 and 2nd in A grade was Kylie Rees from Darnick on 24/31.

1st in B grade was Jason Wall on 28/32, 2nd in B grade was Peter Ledwidge from Coly on 27/32.

1st in C Grade was Alfonso Toscan on 26/30, and 2nd in C grade was Cody Gallagher from Ivanhoe with a score of 25/30.

Second event of the day was a 30-target double barrel. The overall winner was Glen Evans from Coly with a score of 55/55, 1st in AA grade was Brian Doyle on 54/55, 2nd in AA grade was Rob Anderson on 61/62.

1st in A grade was Kylie Rees on 29/30 and 2nd in A grade was Van Haidy on 27/31.

1st in B grade was Peter Ledwidge on 31/32 and 2nd in B grade was Jason Wall on 30/32.

1st in C grade was Alfonso Toscan on 28/32 and 2nd in C grade was Eric McCullough on 26/30.

Third event of the day was a 30 target handicap the “Mitchell Cup”.

Overall winner was Jason Wall with a score of 30/31, 2nd was Sally Evans from Coly on 29/30 and 3rd was Brian Doyle on 38/40.

Fourth event of the day was a 10-target graded handicap, the overall winner was Kylie Rees with a score of 12/13.

The August High Gun winner was Brian Doyle with an overall score of 93/100.
