Group 20 rules Magpies ineligible for finals
In a shock move, the Group 20 board have ruled Hay Magpies’ first grade team ineligible to play the finals series.
The ruling was made early last week, prior to the final round of play against Yenda Blueheelers on Sunday.

Danielle ‘Drop Bear’ Curtis, has added another feather to her cap, winning the Diamondback Flyweight Title to become a Triple Weight Division Champion.
Danielle took on Tanlia Graetz at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide at Diamondback Fighting Championships.

Hay gun club June shoot results in tie
The race to secure the June High Gun at Hay Gun Club was a tie between Phil Headon and Glen Kable who finished with a score of 138/155; the pair decided to split the win.

Hay Cutters Rugby Union Club played their integral Sheep Show weekend game against the Marcus Oldham ‘Mudcrabs’. The Cutters certainly did not disappoint, with two superlative games played to wow the crowds.

Under 14.5 Lions joined football clubs from around the country in remembering and honouring a fellow footballer, and putting their boots out for Dallas. Castlemaine Football Netball Club footballer Dallas Keogh-Frankling from the Bendigo Football league landed awkwardly in a tackle against Kyneton but played out the game and even ran off the field after the final siren.
Hay’s under 14s enjoyed a massive win, played with a true display of sportsmanship.
